Bheki is a successful birding guide who also runs voluntary education programmes for schools in the Lake Sibaya area. One of his biggest successes is through the removal of alien vegetation from around the shores of Lake Sibaya. He has also set up the Zuzulwazi Environmental Programme, which is an NPO that recently was successful in receiving a funding grant that allowed for the building of an environmental education center at Lake Sibaya.


Bheki is a specialist guide for the Lake Sibaya area and the iSimanagaliso Wetland Park. Bheki has been a Birdlife SA accredited guide since 2007 and also has a qualification in Environmental Education which he obtained through the Botanical Gardens in 2006. September through to April is the best time to visit Lake Sibaya for birding
